The 3rd generation BatteryDAQ Module "Arshanold" incorporates most of its features from previous generations in addition to many exciting new features:

  1. Cost --our advanced design and large scale production capabilities allow us to pass along cost savings to our customers. "Every battery string should be combined with a validated monitoring system in order to ensure safety and reliability". Our cost effective monitoring solutions now enable customers to monitor battery systems where it was once deemed cost prohibitive.
  2. Internal resistance and connection resistance -- with our advanced Wavelet Digital Signal Processing technology, our modules have unsurpassed accuracy in IR online measurement. No discharge is necessary during IR test.
  3. High common voltage -- +/-20V range to each channel with +/-400 input protection. You run the risk of connection mistakes when you are linking hundreds of wires in the field. As long as you keep the sampling wires in the voltage input region (even in wrong order), there will be no damage to the module. (Don't link voltage sampling wires to the ports for the communication or temperature/current sensors. Those ports are unprotected.)
  4. Compact design -- Due to the technological advancements of our electronics suppliers, the housing of the module has the thickness of approximately one penny. There are no compromises when choosing reliable wiring & connections as with our previous generations of monitors, the module uses Phoenix Contact industrial standard connectors. They are proven to provide the most reliable connections.
  5. Standard communication protocol -- the 3rd generation moves to industrial standard Modbus RTU protocol. You can integrate it to any Modbus system or use any Modbus software to get the data from the module. If you are not familiar with Modbus but wish to add in your software, we can provide the source code which is designed & tested by BatteryDAQ.
  6. High ripple noise immunity -- in the years past, we have encountered many UPS systems which generate high ripple noise. Arshanold has been tested on many UPS systems which have been known to suffer from high ripple noise and passed with flying colors.
  7. Laboratory application -- we often have been asked to use our product in scientific research and battery product development. Our Arshanold module can also satisfy the needs of those users. It opens up more parameters for a variety of testing tasks. The Excel sheet panel makes it straightforward to acquire data and plot curves. Fans of LabVIEW will be happy to know that the module is LabVIEW compatible. It behaves just like regular DAQ cards.

BM6800 series NEMA 4 (IP65) systems are assembled with fully tested Arshanold modules in rigid, water-tight compact enclosures in order to enable the unit be installed in battery rooms and meet the toughest protection standards.
